Chart of accounts, P&L and balance sheet in KaroBaryaar

Your shop's books are built in — understand the chart of accounts, profit & loss, and balance sheet without needing a separate accountant's app.

Most POS apps stop at sales. KaroBaryaar includes proper double-entry accounting, so the books that used to live in a register — or in a separate program your accountant kept — are built right into the same system that rings up your sales.

You don’t need to be an accountant to benefit. Every sale, purchase, expense and payment already flows into the books automatically. These pages just let you (or your accountant) see the full financial picture.

The chart of accounts

The chart of accounts is the organised list of every account your shop uses — cash, bank, sales, purchases, rent, salaries, supplier balances and so on. KaroBaryaar comes with a sensible default set for a retail shop, and you can add your own. Every transaction is recorded against these accounts, which is what makes the reports below possible.

Profit & Loss (P&L)

The profit and loss statement answers the question every owner asks: did I actually make money this month? It totals your income (sales) and subtracts your costs (purchases and expenses) over any period you choose, showing your real profit — not just cash in the drawer.

Balance sheet

The balance sheet is a snapshot of what your shop owns and owes on a given day: your stock, cash and bank balances and money customers owe you on one side; supplier balances and other liabilities on the other. It’s how you see your shop’s true financial health at a glance.

Cash flow and partner equity

For businesses that need them, KaroBaryaar also tracks cash flow (money actually moving in and out) and partners’ equity (each partner’s stake) — useful when a shop has more than one owner.

Why it’s built in

Keeping your accounting inside the POS means:

  • No double entry. You don’t re-type sales into a separate accounts program.
  • Always current. Your statements reflect today’s sales, not last month’s.
  • Ready for your accountant. Hand them clean, complete books whenever they need them.

To see it working for your shop, start your free trial — and if you run more than one branch, the pricing plans cover multi-branch reporting.
